Overview
A graduate of the prestigious Keeneland September Sale, this colt is a son of champion Blame, who has proven himself to be a reliable sire of high-quality individuals. He is a terrific individual from a great family that traces back to one of the all-time great mares in La Troienne.
He headed to the Middleburg Training Center where he underwent his early training and was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program.
Named Litigate, he shipped to the Todd Pletcher barn at Belmont Park on August 3 to continue training. He won first out in his career debut at Aqueduct on November 19 and earned a nice bonus from the Virginia Residency Program.
He finished second in his first start as a three year old on January 8 at Gulfstream Park against N1X AOC competition going a mile.
He ticked the box of “become a graded stakes winner” in his third start beating rivals in the G3 Sam F. Davis Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs on February 11.
Litigate is in training at Palm Beach Downs in Florida for the winter. We can’t wait to see his 4YO campaign.
