Overview

City of Light has already stamped himself as one of the nation’s leading sires with champion Fierceness to his credit, in addition to our own Illuminare and Enlighten. This colt, purchased at the 2024 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, hails from the deep, consistent family of Breeders’ Cup winner Spain.

He settled at the Middleburg Training Center for his early training and has been made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program.  Halogen is trained by Todd Pletcher at Palm Beach Downs in Florida; he arrived on November 1.

Halogen tried turf for his third start on March 8 at Gulfstream Park.  He’s still a work in progress as we figure out the best fit for him.
