Overview
Centennial Farms has had tremendous success at the Saratoga Sale and our latest addition, purchased out of the 101st edition of the prestigious auction, looks poised to add to that success. The bay colt hails from the second crop of Breeders’ Cup winner City of Light, who is off to a fast start at stud. He is out of a young mare by the sensational broodmare sire Giant’s Causeway from a family with graded and group success all over the world for generations.
He completed his early training at the Middleburg Training Center and was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program. Enlighten is trained by Todd Pletcher at Belmont Park; he was able to add four races onto his two-year-old resume. He tried turf for his third and fourth starts finishing a game second by a head nose bob and third by 3/4 of a length.
Enlighten is getting a short break at the farm but will be back soon for his three-year-old campaign.
