Overview

One of the best of his generation on the track and one of the world’s leading sires, picking up a Medaglia d’Oro was an easy decision. This colt is the third foal out of a winning A.P. Indy mare, and both prior offspring are winners. The first, Hard Rendition, stamped herself as one of Latin America’s best with a victory in the Clasico Diamante. She is just the latest standout in a family that includes Desert Stormer, Sahara Gold, Better Lucky, Casino Host, etc.

The Medaglia d’Oro colt, named Metallic, trains at Laurel Racecourse with Rodney Jenkins.    Metallic broke his maiden on only his second start scoring the win at Laurel Park on April 8.    He returns to the entries in the Seventh race at Laurel on June 24; he’ll run six furlongs in AOC N1X race with regular rider Steve Hamilton aboard.
