Mihos returned to the winner’s circle with an impressive victory at The Big A! Trainer Jimmy Jerkens and his team did a terrific job getting this guy to top form; he matched his career high Beyer while pulling clear to a 1 1/4-length victory. We’re so grateful to the patient and supportive partners who make it all possible!

During uncertain times, mighty Mihos provided a much-appreciated boost with a sparkling victory at Gulfstream Park. The talented colt returned to the races off of a layoff with a solid third-place performance last month. With that effort under his belt, the stakes winner was able to capitalize, burying a strong allowance field by 3 1/4-lengths under Tyler Gaffalione. It’s an absolute delight to see Mihos back to his best form – the result of plenty of hard work by the team in Middleburg, the Jerkens barn, Dr. Carr, and plenty of patience from his phenomenal partners.

What a way to kick off the new year! Mihos proved his status as a Thoroughbred Daily News “Rising Star” was on the money, digging in to prevail in his stakes debut. BloodHorse and TDN have more on the thrilling victory.

Mihos’s victory was one of two races to kick off the new year for our team and partners. The patient partners behind Preservationist welcomed their promising horse back to the races at Aqueduct. The talented six-year-old finish third to a stakes winner, sprinting in the slop, making his first start in eleven months.

Mihos, third in his debut at Belmont Park in September, put the lessons learned that day to good use at The Big A, drawing rave reviews with a maiden victory! The two-year-old was geared down in a 1 1/4-length score. He earned the “Rising Star” designation from Thoroughbred Daily News for his effort. Fellow Centennial Farms runners Unified and Rocketry both earned that status in recent years before going on to stakes glory.
