Overview
Tiz the Law was an elite, Grade 1-winning two-year-old who was even better a three, rolling through victories in the Florida Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers. This colt hails from his first crop, which has been impressing at the sales. His dam, by elite broodmare sire Medaglia d’Oro, is a half-sister to two-time Eclipse Award winner Goodnight Olive.
He did well in his early training at the Middleburg Training Center, where he was been made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program. Promissione shipped to the Pletcher barn in Saratoga over Labor Day weekend and shifted down to Palm Beach Downs in Florida at the end of September.
He made his career debut at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, December 7 against 2YO maidens going one mile on the turf.
