Overview
Maxfield has gotten off to a terrific start at stud and we were thrilled to land a colt from his second crop at the Keeneland September Sale. This colt hails from a truly outstanding family that has been developed by the Phipps family for generations. It’s now also in the hands of St. Elias Stable – the same team that bred dual classic winner Golden Tempo.
Fiddian gets his name from famed sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green, currently the subject of a stunning indoor-outdoor exhibit at the National Sporting Library & Museum in Middleburg. Just a few miles away from the museum, Fiddian was trained by Paula Parsons. He was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program.
He joined Todd Pletcher in October 2026 at Palm Beach Downs in Delray Beach, Florida where he will continue to train towards his debut.
