The first crop of our G1 winner and millionaire Preservationist was exceptionally well-received at the Keeneland September Sale. This colt is the first foal out of Belmont winner from an outstanding family developed by Airdrie Stud

He underwent his early training at the Middleburg Training Center and was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program. Antiquarian joined the Todd Pletcher stable in October at Palm Beach Downs in Delray Beach, Florida and is currently stabled at Saratoga Race Course.

Our Preservationist offspring started off his career with a strong performance finishing second against a tough field January 13 at Gulfstream Park.  It only took another start to break his maiden when he shipped to the Fair Grounds Race Course February 17 to win on a sloppy track going 1 1/16 miles.

He waded into graded stakes territory in his third start running in the G2 $1,000,000 Louisiana Derby on March 23 at the Fair Grounds Race Course.  Breaking through the gate prior to the race, bobbled at the start, and traveling wide, Antiquarian was still only beat by four lengths and posted a career high Beyer of 92.

He became a graded stakes winner on May 11 at Aqueduct taking the G3 Peter Pan Stakes with a perfect ride by Johnny Velazquez.  Antiquarian stepped up to Grade 1 competition against some of the best three-year-olds in the country running fifth in the last leg of the 2024 Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes held at Saratoga Race Course. We couldn’t be more proud of this colt.

Antiquarian is getting a short break at the farm in Middleburg; we can’t wait to see what’s ahead for him.
