Twirling Candy has quietly stamped himself as one of the nation’s leading sires and a tremendous source of versatility. His progeny succeed at all distances and surfaces. One of the best of them? Gift Box – a Santa Anita Handicap winner and three-quarter brother to Helix, a Keeneland September graduate.
Helix underwent his early training with Paula Parsons in Middleburg, where he was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program. He was among the first of our two-year-olds to make the big move to the racetrack, joining Todd Pletcher’s Saratoga string on July 2.
