Overview

Brilliant Jack Christopher, by sire-of-sire Munnings, is poised to make noise in the race for leading freshman sire. This Keeneland September graduate from that first crop hails from not only a terrific family, but a family Centennial knows well. Dr. Carr and Paula Parsons selected Imperatrice, a daughter of his half-sister, at the prior year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale. She has since gone on to earn black-type on both dirt and turf for Centennial co-owners Peter and Peggy Horvitz.

Upperville underwent his early training with Paula Parsons in Middleburg, where he was made eligible for the lucrative Virginia Residency Program. He was among the first of our two-year-olds to make the big move to the racetrack, joining Todd Pletcher’s Saratoga string on July 2.
